This rack was made really well and has a really nice smooth gliding track. Assembly of the rack itself took about 10 mins. I would recommend it for any type of custom install use. Because it is a pullout rack it does need to be bolted to the floor.

This is my first home server rack and I am pretty impressed so far. It was a little bit of work to get together but, once setup, it is sturdy. The only thing that confused me was the sizing (i.e. 30 inches is 4 on both sides which is the # that shows on the first hole). I did probably recommend using a tape measurer to be sure before screwing it together.

Otherwise, good rack.

Bought the 27U 4 post open frame version of the item.
Great rack for a great price, just wish the wire management clips could attach someplace that was not out the outside edges.
Also, recommendation, Startech, maybe design side/front panels that could be purchased, after the fact for these racks. Not everyone can afford a fully enclosed rack, initially, but might want to add panels, later on down the line. :)

So I wanted a rack for home but needed it to work within the small amount of space available. Built quite a few racks of various sizes in my time in the field and was very surprised at the quality of this product. The box came a little beat up when it arrived at my front door but everything was inside. Every piece was bubble wrapped and the quality of the steel was very nice, good finish and nice texture to it. The instructions were very simple to follow (do not really even need them) as the design is very simple but effective. I have mine set at 24 inches in depth and love it, there were two wrenches and a Philips screw driver of pretty decent quality inside the box along with wheels which I won’t be using at this time but could see me using them once I move.

If your looking for a 27U rack that you would like to have the ability to adjust the depth then I would strongly suggest you take a look at this. Solid construction, easy to build, and very good quality parts.
