How Do Server Racks Maintain The Cooling Of The Data Center?

How Do Server Racks Maintain The Cooling Of The Data Center?

Oct 15th 2020

The server racks provided by Raising Racks are designed to prevent the servers from overheating. These server racks have cooling modules in them that will help the servers to cool down when the constantly running servers. This also helps to maintain an optimum temperature within the data centers. Without proper cooling of the servers within the server racks, the equipment or devices stored in the server racks can be seriously damaged and can also lose your precious data.

To protect your servers from damage or any loss of data, you can use the following ways:

  1. Liquid cooling:

This cooling method is really efficient in cooling the servers and maintaining the optimal temperature of the servers. Data centers can monitor the temperature by using sacks or tubes of liquid along a server to reduce the heat. This is a cheap yet effective way to control the heat as water can absorb more heat than air. But it also has a side-effect, in which the water can absorb too much heat causing condensation and damaging the devices. So, to use this method, you have to make sure that the liquid inside the cooling system circulating the cooled water must be within the optimal temperature ranges.
  2. Spot Cooling:

Spot coolers are set up around the hardware that provides cold airflow to specific areas. They only cool the specific area which are they aiming at, which will help to cool the servers more efficiently. They are really easy to install, highly versatile, and easy to replace. But this method of cooling will need multiple coolers to target all the devices.

Other than using the above-mentioned methods to cool your servers, you can use the server racks to keep your servers at the optimal temperature for their better performance. In that way, you can safely keep your servers in the racks.
